Dr. Wells has been practicing medicine for fifteen years and is known for the rapport she builds with her patients. Former patients have described her care as “life-changing,” “supportive,” and “non-judgmental.”Considering that chronic diseases are not caused by just one factor, Dr. Wells has a special interest in the nutritional, genetic, and environmental factors that promote disease. Her expertise allows her to think holistically to help prevent and treat chronic illnesses. Dr. Wells strongly believes that while a disease may run in a person’s family, it does not have to be an individual’s destiny.

Dr. Wells earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. She completed a 2-year-postgraduate-residency in a naturopathic primary care clinic. That residency turned into fourteen years of active practice as an associate physician before joining Whole Health Naturopathy.

Passionate about environmental influences on health, Dr. Wells completed extensive training in environmental medicine and is one of only a few naturopathic doctors in the country to hold fellowship status through the American Academy of Environmental Medicine. Dr. Wells received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from West Virginia University, proving foundational to her understanding of the many influences on personal health choices.

Dr. Wells has worked to advance clinical education in her profession by coordinating continuing education conferences at both the national and state levels. She has served as a board member and vice president of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
