How We are Safely Serving Patients During COVID

During a crisis like this pandemic, it is easy to put important things off, including seeing the doctor. Perhaps people are worried they are taking the place of someone else in need. Maybe they are afraid of being exposed to unnecessary contacts. While it may be tempting to delay care or frightening to think of going to the doctor or hospital during COVID-19, putting it off is not wise or recommended. Annual exams, routine immunizations, health screenings, and maintenance for chronic conditions are essential during this pandemic.

At Whole Health Naturopathy, we work hard for your safety and health. We continue to provide safe, attentive, holistic health care and can connect with you from anywhere in Washington State. We are doing many things to ensure you can see your doctor for any of your medical needs. Here is what you can expect:

We are offering a variety of appointment options to accommodate your needs.

  • Virtual appointments, or “telehealth,” are offered and preferred by all of our providers. We use a platform called DOXY.me. If you would like to see one of our doctors for a virtual appointment, our staff would be happy to get you scheduled. Telephone appointments are available for our patients who are not comfortable with or able to access the internet.
  • All Wellness and Well Child visits are held in person, as is required by the insurance companies.
  • New patient appointments can be either in person or virtual, depending on patient preference and needs. We prefer to have these online for everyone’s safety, but if there is a need for in-person, we are happy to make accommodations.

We are taking several measures for the safety of our patients and staff.

  • We thoroughly disinfect the clinic regularly and wipe down high-touch surfaces and common areas frequently.
  • All staff and patients must remain masked while inside the clinic. We are not seeing patients that cannot wear a mask at this time.
  • We ask patients to wait in their vehicles upon arrival and invite them in at the appropriate time.
  • Our staff has arranged the waiting area to provide for safe distancing. All surfaces are cleaned and sanitized after patients have been in common areas.
  • Upon arrival, we conduct a health and temperature screen for all patients.
  • We schedule virtual or phone appointments for all patients with symptoms.
  • Toys, books, and other shared items have been removed.
  • We ask that no more than one parent accompany a child and ask adults to come alone to their appointments.
  • We have adequate ventilation, including windows that open in the clinic, providing good airflow.
