Dr. Laura Galati values creating research based, holistic treatments to help keep families happy and healthy and discussing family planning with parents-to-be.
Her favorite modalities are botanical medicine and nutrition.
She lives in the Olympia area, and enjoys the beautiful outdoors, gardening, and, most importantly, the sun.
Dr. Laura Galati graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine with a doctorate degree in naturopathic medicine, a certificate in natural childbirth, and a master’s degree in integrative medicine. Dr. Laura grew up in Phoenix, AZ, and was instilled in the benefits of natural alternatives from an early age.
Her mother taught the importance of a healthy diet and later how to make her own soaps and shampoos, using eco-friendly ingredients. Her path in life has taken her from school in Arizona, where she studied aquatic biology, to the Peace Corp and the Philippines, where she found her passion for family planning and childbirth, to Hawaii and Alaska as a fisheries biologist (go ahead, ask her about fish).
Prior to relocating to Olympia, Dr. Laura was part of a thriving practice in Medford, OR, where she focused on midwifery, pediatrics and general family medicine. While she is taking a break from the on-call life of midwifery, she felt honored to be able to play a small role in helping babies enter this world.
